The Street, directed by photographer and documentary maker Zed Nelson, has recently been shortlisted for the 2020 Griersons, also having received a nomination at the British Independent Film Awards, screened at the London Film Festival prior to a successful lengthy theatrical release, and was selected as one of The Economist’s ten best films of 2019. Shot over more than four years it follows the debilitating effects of gentrification in one Hackney street.

I enjoy editing across genres, documentary and drama, whether with Terry Jones on Absolutely Anything  starring Simon Pegg and Kate Beckinsale, or Paul Schrader (best known as the writer of Taxi Driver & Raging Bull), to epic documentary series like One Strange Rock, or the pilot for the 2014 TV BAFTA feature winner Long Lost Family, to individual one offs like Born Too White with director Clare Richards

I started in the cutting room as an Assistant Editor with directors as diverse as Nic Roeg, Peter Greenaway & Ridley Scott and found my feet with Errol Morris as an Associate Editor on A Brief History of Time which won the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance in 1992. I went on to cut Kate Bush's The Line, The Cross & The Curve - nominated for a Grammy for Best Music Video. I’ve also worked as a Sound Editor with Mike Leigh and Hugh Hudson and garnered a Golden Reel nomination for Seven Years In Tibet starring Brad Pitt.

I am happy to work as a consultant.
